Setup

  1. Create "seo" folder in client website for all reports.
  2. Create index page for links to all reports.
  3. Create project in WEBCEO
  4. Setup client with Stats (default - AWstats). Ask client if would prefer a VERY detailed stats tracking service. If so, use hitlens.

Keyword Research

  1. Talk over with client and drum up list of all possible keywords
  2. Look over any client literature for any possible keywords
  3. Get keywords from competitors sites
  4. Take entire list of keywords and run through Word Tracker
  5. As you find popular and relative keywords in WT, do a google search using keyword to find most popular sites.. Get more keyword ideas to test through Word Tracker.
  6. Enter existing keywords and other suggestions from Word Tracker into Word Tracker Basket.
  7. Run a "Competition Search" in Word Tracker for MSN, Yahoo, and Google.
  8. Create a report. Steps to create a Keyword Research Report
  9. Sort report alphabetically by "Keyword Phrase" export report as html file and create title (with link to new file) on client's SEO page called "Keyword Research sorted by Alphabetical"
  10. Sort report by "Daily Searches" export report as html file and create title (with link to new file) on client's SEO page called "Keyword Research sorted by Popularity"
  11. Sort report by "Ratio" export report as html file and create title (with link to new file) on client's SEO page called "Keyword Research sorted by Popularity/Competition Ratio"

Ranking and Link Popularity Reports 1 (at start)

  1. Run initial Rank Report (WebCEO) for all chosen keywords before starting any page optimization.

Page Optimization

  1. Meta Tag description and keywords (setup within head tags in this order).
  2. Use WEBCEO to optimize page with the top keywords (KEI)
  3. Setup 3 other pages within site to link to page. (A sitemap will take care of one page)

Submissions

  1. DMOZ - submit a "non sales" title and description carefully crafting in best keywords (KEI)
  2. WEBCEO auto submit - submit title and description with best keywords (KEI)
  3. Business.com - $199/yr for directory listing.

PPC

  1. If keywords are present with a search rate and difficult competition, use those keywords for Google Adwords.
  2. Setup campaign with full list of keywords - break campaign into different campaigns if needed to optimize for keywords ($50 minimum per campaign - depends on client budget)
  3. Setup campaign with client budget using budget optimizer.
  4. Create an effective ad(s)
  5. Check keyword effectiveness frequently and delete/adjust as necessary.
  6. Adjust ad(s) as necessary , split up campaign if necessary.

Analysis - Ranking and Link Popularity Reports 2 (1/2 - 1 Month after initial SEO)

  1. Run Rank Report (WebCEO) for all focused keywords.
  2. Run advanced Link Popularity report (WEBCEO - "Links - Who Links to Me")
  3. Run Link Analsis Report (Words and phrases used in links back to client)
  4. Run "Competition" Link Report - WEB CEO

 

    Link Partnership Campaign
  1. Analize competing sites on chosen keywords to determine extent of link campaign (# of backlinks they currently have). This tool works well and WEBCEO (Links - Competitors & Analyze Competition) (The purpose of this to get an bird's eye of view of how much work is involved to beat the competition).
  2. Use SEO Elite to find sites best optimized for particular Keywords. Then do a backlink analysis on those sites to find out which sites to contact for link reciprocation. Or pay to advertise on the good PR sites.
